Creative Collaboration | Performance art
The Muse Awakens was created in close collaboration with dancers from the Lucia Marthas Institute for Performing Arts. In this performance, students of the institute embodied the nine muses from the work of artist Nancy Faas, allowing dance and visual art to merge into one cohesive artistic expression.
According to Lucia Marthas, collaborating with internationally active artists is of great value: it offers students deeper professional development while contributing to the artistic enrichment of society. The Muse Awakens highlights the importance of cross-pollination between arts education and contemporary performance art.
