COOKIE POLICY (EN)

Version: July 2025

This Cookie Policy explains how Nancy Faas (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on [www.nancyfaas.com] (the “Website”). It also explains your choices. This Cookie Policy forms part of our Privacy Policy. If you have questions, contact info@nancyfaas.com.

Under EU law (ePrivacy Directive, as implemented in national law, and the GDPR), non-essential cookies require your prior, informed, freely given consent. Consent must be as easy to withdraw as to give, and rejecting cookies must be as easy as accepting them.

1. What are cookies & similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They can remember your session, store preferences, enable shopping cart functionality, measure traffic, or support targeted advertising. Related technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, SDKs and device identifiers; for compliance, these are generally treated like cookies when they access or store information on a user’s device.

2. Cookie categories we use

We group cookies into categories so you can give granular consent:

Category            Description      Consent Required?    Examples (to be completed)

Strictly Necessary       Needed for core site functions (cart, checkout, security, language routing). Cannot be switched off in our systems; may be blocked in your browser.      No (legitimate interest / strictly necessary exemption under ePrivacy).                 [TO DEV: e.g. sessionid, csrf_token]

Functional / Preferences        Remember choices (language, region, account preferences) to personalize your experience.             Yes, if not strictly necessary.       [TO DEV]

Analytics / Statistics Help us understand site usage and improve performance (aggregated traffic, popular pages). We configure these to limit data where possible (e.g., IP anonymization).              Yes (consent before activation).        [TO DEV: e.g. _ga, _gid]

Marketing / Advertising             Track visitors across sites to build user profiles and show relevant ads or measure campaign effectiveness.                  Yes (explicit, opt-in). [TO DEV: Meta Pixel, Google Ads]

Social Media / Embeds            Enable content from platforms (Instagram feeds, YouTube video players) that may set their own cookies.                  Yes (consent before load unless embedded with no tracking).   [TO DEV]

Regulators require that accepting and rejecting non-essential categories be equally easy and pre-ticked boxes are not allowed. Granular control must be available.

3. Legal basis

  • Strictly necessary cookies: stored/accessed because they are required to deliver the service you explicitly request (e.g., to place an item in your cart or secure login). Consent is not required but disclosure is recommended.
  • All other cookies: require prior, informed, opt-in consent. Continuing to browse is not valid consent. No pre-ticked boxes. Reject must be as easy as accept.

5. Managing your cookie preferences

You can manage your cookie settings at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link available at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent must be as easy as giving it. After withdrawal, new non-essential cookies will not be set, and—where feasible—we will delete or disable previously set cookies (some third-party limitations apply; see provider links in the table).

You can also control cookies through your browser settings (block, delete, or signal Do Not Track); however, some site functions may not work correctly if strictly necessary cookies are blocked.

6. Third-party cookies & international data transfers

Some cookies are placed by third-party services (analytics, marketing platforms, social media embeds). These providers may process data outside the EEA. Where data is transferred to the United States or other non-EEA jurisdictions, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) for certified U.S. recipients, or Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary measures where required.

7. Retention

Cookie lifetimes vary. Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until their scheduled expiry or until you delete them. We configure non-essential cookies with proportionate retention periods; see the cookie tables above for details.

8. Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, regulation or our services. The “Version” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted in the banner and/or Privacy Policy.
