A look back at a magical fusion of art and fashion, with official photos now released
A Symphony of Couture and Sculptures to Wear
During Paris Fashion Week on January 31, a unique fusion of art, couture, wearable sculptures and performance art took place at the prestigious Atelier Néerlandais. Under the title A Symphony of Couture and Sculptures to Wear, artist Nancy Faas, alongside fashion designer Irving Vorster, presented a breathtaking showcase that blurred the lines between art and couture.
ECLECTIVM by Irving Vorster
Irving Vorster unveiled his couture collection ECLECTIVM, a dynamic reinterpretation of his past designs featuring optical illusions. Recognizable by his asymmetrical signature without losing eye for feminine elegance.
The Muses Are Alive
The highlight of the performance was The Muses Are Alive, where the nine Greek muses came to life in a dynamic spectacle, starting as statues and gradually moving with unique rhythms. The Muse & Me sculptures-to-wear collection transforms iconic bronze muses into wearable art, allowing individuals to become living works of art. Each piece reflects the artists vision of merging art with wearable sculptures, embodying hidden symbolism. The event also featured two muses from a twelve-piece series honoring women: Tanit, a Phoenician goddess of life and protection, and Madonna, a symbol of strength, creativity, and self-expression. These muses, recently showcased at the Masters Expo, inspire all to Be Your Own Muse.
The newly released photos provide an exclusive glimpse into the magic that unfolded in Paris.
